Brilliantly taken again. Brilliant catch and Rabada's got two in the same over.

So well-taken.

Another edge and another catch in the slips for South Africa!

Cameron Green got off the mark with a boundary off his first delivery but that was the high point of a very brief innings.

It was an excellent catch by Aiden Markram, low down at second slip and with Wiaan Mulder diving next to him.

Great catch! That is a brilliant catch and I know that looks out of the bread basket but that's a difficult one at Lord's.

A really good catch and South Africa needed that breakthrough after starting the bowling well.

@henrymoeranBBC on X: More leaves than Autumn so far from the Australian openers. Easing their way in under cloudy skies.

South Africa are desperate for a wicket. I think we can see this is going to be a good wicket to bat on for the first few days but it has to turn late in the game.

  • Aus 11-0published at 6 overs

Marnus Labuschagne is doing the scoring for Australia, picking up a pair of twos to start Marco Jansen's third over. He's also muttering to himself about movement near the sight screen.

Speaking of movement, Jansen is getting plenty from this pitch. However, a big front-foot no-ball is a disappointing end to the over.

@fenners100 on X: Given the qualification process it feels right that Australia should win this, given they've played everyone in longer series. Whereas South Africa have played easy teams in two-match series, plus they put out a second team in NZ.

Kagiso Rabada is looking far more dangerous around the wicket to Usman Khawaja.

To echo Andy (@10:46), proper cricket.

Marnus Labuschagne has never scored a Test century against South Africa, averaging only 36.33 against them in four Tests compared to a career average of 46.76. The Proteas are the only team he has faced who he hasn't scored a ton against.

There's the first runs. Finally, and it certainly wasn't where Labuschagne was intending.

  • Aus 5-0published at 4 overs

Marnus Labuschagne wears one on his pads from Marco Jansen but the wicketkeeper is the only person interested, jumping up with both arms in the air. Two balls later, he and Australia are up and running with two off a big edge.

There was a no-ball in there somewhere too. Don't ask me which ball. There wasn't much of a signal.
